She was born Jennifer Wolfeld on January 26, 1974, in Kingston, Jamaica. Her parents are American Jew Sheila Greenfield and Puerto Rican Jew Bennet Wolfeld. Jenna was born in Jamaica, but she grew up primarily in Pétion-Ville, Haiti. Born into a devout Jewish family, Jenna had her bat mitzvah in Pétion-Ville before moving to the United States to live with her parents.
