Julia Roberts is paying tribute to her late partner, the late Matthew Perry, star of “Friends.” The actress discussed her thoughts on Perry’s passing in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight.” Perry passed away in October at the age of 54.
“It is devastating when someone so young passes away suddenly,” Roberts remarked. “I believe that it just helps all of us to simply appreciate what we have and to keep moving forward as positively as we can,” the speaker said.
In the 1990s, the couple dated for roughly three months, during which Roberts made an appearance as a guest star on “Friends.” Perry wrote in his memoir “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing” about their brief romance.

He wrote that Roberts appeared to have been sent here to make everyone happy, including myself. I had the smile of a fifteen-year-old on his first date.
Roberts said to “Entertainment Tonight” that she was thinking back on her time costarring as Chandler Bing, Perry’s character on “Friends,” with “all good thoughts and feelings.”
“Leave the World Behind,” Roberts’ most recent movie, refers to “Friends.”
