Speaking to the media during the operation, Kisaka stated that police investigations were progressing as they tried to put together the blogger’s life before his tragic passing.
The chief of DCI stated that the operation also included officers from the agency’s homicide department at its Nairobi headquarters.
According to Kisaka, the purpose of the Saturday operation was to search the house for any leads that could help the police with their probes.

“We are looking into the death of the sniper. We’ve visited several scenes. A forensic team from DCI headquarters, headed by the Director of Homicide, has been brought on board.
“The house of the governor is one of the many places we are visiting in the process of collecting what is relevant to the matter we are investigating,” said Kisaka.
However, the head of DCI’s office reassured the public that the police were solely focused on the case’s facts and asked them to be patient while their investigations were being finished.
“We would like to inform the public that the investigations are well underway, and should anything new emerge, we will depend on the media to report it to the public.

The governor’s residence was still being cleared by the police at the time of his speech. It’s also unknown if any goods were removed from the house by the police throughout the procedure.
