Doctors caution ladies; shaving around the groin area may result in cervical infections.
Doctors caution ladies that shaving around the groin area may result in cervical infections. It has been advised that women should refrain from shaving all of the hair that grows in their groin area.
Complete shaving of the groin and cervical region, according to gynecologist Dr. Ignatius Kibe, who specializes in cervical health, may result in infections.
He advises women to simply cut their hair if necessary because it could get longer and become an annoyance.
Medicus Ignatius, It’s dangerous and raises the risk of infection to shave hair around the genital area. For example, when you take a bath, all the dirt and potentially harmful bacteria and/or fungi that you may wash off from your head or upper body flow with the water to your groin area, where they may adhere and flourish. This might be the beginning of a few diseases.
He continues by saying that hair in the groin area acts as a barrier against friction and as a means of capturing and releasing pheromones, which are substances that have the power to affect both social and sexual behavior.
Furthermore, it is very discouraged for women to try to treat the unpleasant odor of odd discharge by sticking anything, especially food items like garlic, lemons, or avocados, within their cervix. Rather, it is suggested that individuals include certain things in their diet and get medical help.

Foods like lemons, tomatoes, avocados, and garlic are best consumed raw according to Dr. Ignatius’ advice. Garlic is beneficial for your cervix, even if it may leave a bad taste in your mouth; processed meals and excessive sugar are not the greatest. Additionally, males enjoy eating eggs, kienyenji chicken, and all kinds of vegetables, which also increase libido.
Dr. Ignatius was discussing cervical health, an issue that the World Health Organisation (WHO) takes up in January of each year.
The goal of the month-long celebration is to lower the alarming incidence of cervical cancer. To that end, women are urged to have routine screenings, such as Pap smears or Pap tests, which are essential for identifying abnormal cervical cells or early indicators of cervical cancer.
It is also mandatory for young girls between the ages of nine and thirteen to have Human Papillomavirus (HPV) immunization. This vaccination helps prevent specific strains of the virus that might cause cervical cancer.
According to him, the Human Papillomavirus is one of the illnesses that is typically spread through sexual contact, even though it can remain in the human body for up to 20 years.
To lower the risk of HPV and other STDs, he suggests having fewer sexual partners, wearing condoms, and engaging in safe sexual behavior.
Kibe claims that men are the HPV carriers, so it is advised for women to have devoted companions. The number of people who become infected every day rises when a male who has the virus has intercourse with several women, spreading the virus to each of them.
He advises ladies to get screened for cancer every year at the very least because of this.
He continued
“January is the cervical health awareness month whose aim is to increase awareness on cervical cancer, and most health facilities offer free screening services; please take advantage of that,”

Dr. Ngechu Wambui concurs, stating that severe lower back discomfort, itching on the cervix, profuse bleeding, and agony during intercourse are some of the most indicative symptoms of cervical cancer.
Wambui explained that among the warning indicators to be aware of include pelvic pain, severe cramps, and unusual discharge.
Additionally, dermatologists clarify that each hair on a person’s body was intended to be there, mostly for the protection of the places in which it develops.
Dr. Alice Waweru, a dermatology and venereology officer, claims that depending on the part of the skin where hair grows, it has a specific role.
For example, lashes and eyebrows shield the eyes from dust, debris, and sunshine, while hair on the scalp blocks UV rays and aids in temperature regulation by reducing heat loss.
Make sure everything has a purpose, Dr. Alice advised, whether it’s your lashes and eyebrows, your scalp, or wherever else your hair develops.
In addition to providing general skin protection, hair also serves as insulation, retaining and trapping heat to aid in controlling body temperature.
Since perspiration moves along hair strands, Alice continues, hair serves as an evaporation regulator, helping to chill the body through evaporation.
