Tuesday, December 12, 2023- During the Jamhuri Day celebrations, President William Ruto declared that Kenya will proceed with its intentions to grant visa-free entry to all international people.
During the YouthConnekt Africa Summit 2023 last week, the Head of State announced that Kenya will now open its gates visa-free to people from all countries in the world, despite his original statement that the privilege would only be provided to African citizens.
”Beginning January 2024, Kenya will be a visa-free country, It shall no longer be necessary for any person from any corner of the globe to carry the burden of applying for a visa to come to Kenya,” President Ruto asserted.
The head of state added in his speech that all guests arriving in Kenya would be recognized before being allowed entry for simple processing.

Ruto went on to say that to be authorized, users will need to authenticate themselves on an electronic platform.
Seychelles and Gambia are two more nations that have done away with the need for visas for all African nations; both of these nations mainly rely on tourism.
Kenyan Neighbouring country, Rwanda on Friday 3rd November 2023, announced visa-free travel for all Africans.
