Tiktok to launch subscription model for content in Kenya

Date:

According to the entertainment portal, Tiktok, a subscription model for content would be introduced in Kenya.

According to the abbreviated version of the video hosting site, the subscription will mainly draw from other successful African nations.

Paying for content is still an evolving process, according to Mr. Fortune Migwili-Sibanda, Tiktok’s director of government relations and public affairs in sub-Saharan Africa.

Speaking in Nairobi, Mr. Mgwili Sibanda stated that the platform is thinking of implementing a firewall that would require users to sign up to access the content.

Among the features we’ve introduced is the TikTok series, which enables content creators to post their stuff behind firewalls and attract subscribers.

Using the creator center on the Tiktok App, creators who don’t have 10,000 followers yet still fit the other conditions can apply by sending a link to premium content they’ve already sold on other platforms.

“Application does not guarantee access,” it added.
