Thika, Kenya-born Patrick Mwangi, 35, is a businessman who dreamed of growing a large family with his 2019 bride, Kavira Zubeda. But when he learned that he was infertile because of a hereditary issue, his hope was dashed. He then made a decision and allowed his wife to Be ‘shacked’ by another man to get kids.
“When the doctor informed me that I was not able to father a child, I was distraught. My wife thought I was a burden and a failure. Patrick remarked, “I wanted to give her the joy of motherhood, but I couldn’t.”
To get his wife pregnant, Patrick decided to go to his closest buddy, 36-year-old engineer James Njoroge. James, who was childless and single, decided to assist his friend out of friendship and compassion.
“I’ve known Patrick from our early childhood. We shared everything as we grew up together. I consider him to be a brother. I did not think twice when he requested me to do this for him. James remarked, “I wanted to grant his dream and make him happy.
But Zubeda wasn’t sure at first. She declared her love for her spouse and her refusal to break their marriage vows. She was also afraid of what people would think of her and her kids.
“It was not an easy choice for me to make. I was conflicted and felt guilty. However, I could see how miserable my husband was and how much he desired a family. For us, for him, I decided to do it. I asked God to give me the bravery and the strength,” Zubeda pointed out.

The three decided to only tell their close friends and relatives about their arrangement, keeping it a secret. With James’ assistance, Zubeda became pregnant three times and gave birth to two boys and a girl who were one, two, and four years old, respectively.
Having three children that he loves and treats as his own, Patrick expressed his gratitude and joyful state of being. He added that because of his friend, he felt like a whole guy and that their relationship remained unbroken.
“I don’t give a damn what people think or say. Here are these kids, and I’m their dad. My blood and my name belong to them. I will stop at nothing to make them happy since I adore them so much. James is my hero as well as my best buddy. The best present of all was given to me by him. He is like an uncle to my kids, and we are still extremely close,” Patrick commented.
Zubeda declared that she had no regrets and that she was happy and content with her family. She expressed her respect and gratitude to Patrick and James for their selflessness and kindness.
“I give thanks to God for bestowing upon me three lovely children. They bring me delight and pride. I also appreciate my husband’s love and assistance. He is a fantastic father and man. I also appreciate James’ friendship and kindness. He’s a good buddy as well as a good man. Zubeda declared, “We are one big happy family.”
